About

Robert (Rob) Lee was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He attended schools in Cheyenne until his junior year, when he moved to Cortez, Colorado. Graduating from Montezuma-Cortez High School in 1999, he went to Colorado State University to compete on the Speech and Debate team on a scholarship. He graduated from Colorado State University in 2004 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice.

In many ways, Rob's been associated with many different people who work in public education. His little sister is a teacher in the Clark County School District, his grandmother a retired teacher in Idaho, and his college debate partner a teacher in Montana. These people, along with family, close friends, and mentors have always stressed the importance that a strong education plays in building strong citizens. It's his education that Rob credits with installing the values that have helped him to settle in Illinois, and have pushed him to become involved with District 300.

Currently, Rob is a member of the District 300 Policy and Legislation Committee and Community Finance Committee. Robert accepted an invitation to become a member of a committee formed to develop ways to implement the District's Strategic Plan for internal and external communications.

Rob lives in East Dundee with his two miniature dachshunds, Jorge and Lily. Rob enjoys playing soccer in recreational leagues in Chicago, the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends when time allows.
